- All-position root-pass welding of high strength low alloy steel pipeline assemblies including API 5LX-56 through X-70 grade pipe
- Deeply penetrating, x-ray quality weld deposits with tensile strengths in the 90,000 psi range making it much more suitable for welding high strength pipelines than a 6010 or 7010 electrode
- Superior arc performance, weld puddle control with a light easily removable slag
- Use DC+ (reverse polarity) only
- Best used with clean or prepared welding surface
